Your stone does not need replacing. It needs cutting back and bringing up again.
Marble, limestone, terrazzo, sandstone and engineered stone, restored in place. Etching, staining and wear are removed from the surface, not covered over. Most benchtops are done in a day.
Before and after. Same surface, same camera.
Every image here is one of our jobs. Left half before, right half after. Nothing is stock and nothing is generated.

Black marble benchtop

Stone kitchen floor

Shower floor
The same terrace, on film.
Filmed on the job: a stained terrace under a rotary cleaner, then dried.
Is your stone showing these signs?
Every one of these is a surface problem. The stone underneath is fine, and it can be brought back.
Dull patches in the walkways
The polish has been worn through by foot traffic and grit. The rest of the floor still shines, so the wear reads as dirt. It is not dirt.
Rings and marks that look like water stains
On marble these are almost always etch marks: acid from citrus, wine or bench spray has dissolved the surface. No cleaner removes them. They are cut back.
Cloudiness under downlights
Thousands of fine scratches scattering light. Invisible in daylight, obvious at night. Honed out and re-polished.
What we restore.
All twelve services
Marble floor polishing
Diamond-cut back through the grits and brought up to a true reflective finish, not a topical shine that wears off in a season.

Marble benchtop restoration
Etching from citrus, wine and bench spray is dissolved stone, not a stain on top. It is cut back and re-polished in place, usually in a day, with no removal.

Marble bathroom restoration
Vanities, shower floors and walls get the wrong cleaners for years. We strip the haze, correct the etching and reseal so the room reads as new again.

Etch and stain removal
Stains sit in the stone and are drawn out with a poultice. Etches are stone that has been dissolved and are cut back. Getting the diagnosis right is most of the job.

Anti-etch protection film
A clear protective film bonded to a freshly restored benchtop. It takes the acid, the heat and the knife so the marble underneath does not. The one product that genuinely stops etching.

Stone cleaning and sealing
Deep clean with the right chemistry for the stone, then an impregnating sealer that goes into the pores rather than sitting on top. Sealing slows staining; it does not stop etching, and we say so.

Stone is brought back by working through the grits in order. Skip one and the finish shows it.
A worn floor might start at 50 grit and finish at 8500. A lightly etched benchtop might only need the last three. The assessment decides where to start, and that is most of what determines the price.
What clients say.
Repaired, polished and sealed our expensive natural marble benchtop which was never properly sealed. I can’t recommend this company highly enough. They are excellent.
I am so so happy that I found Grand Stone Restorations - I had a very odd chip in my brand new engineered stone. So many companies said they could not do it and wouldn’t even bother to come and look at it.. 2 failed attempts were also made by the original company we bought the stone from. Grand Stone came in and fixed it all so well, can’t even notice the issue now and I can sleep at night lol! Can’t explain how happy I am. Will definitely use them again!
Grand stone restorations restored my marble floors like new!! Moe and his team are very reliable and professional. From start to finish they were honest with the outcome of the floors. So glad we went ahead with this affordable team. Thank you for restoring my floors like new!
